BP is among the most-recognizable brands today, and for good reason: as our society continues to depend heavily on oil-based products, BP has emerged as a clear leader in the energy products business. By diversifying into other areas, including sustainable development, BP promises to remain on the forefront of energy research and development. Come to this general meeting to learn more about how this company has addressed the increasing green initiatives!

Location: Illini Union Ballroom

Professor Matalon has recently joined the University of Illinois faculty and has previously taught at Northwestern University. This is a chance for underclassmen to get advice from upperclassmen on which classes to take, how to schedule their up coming semesters. Get "real" advice that only fellow students could give you. Get real feed back on professors by the students who had them.

4.         Professor Auction

Date: Tuesday, March 25

Time: 6:00 pm (after the general meeting)

Location: 135 MEB

Professor auction is an annual fund raising event for the ASME relay for life team (see how to join and/or below). At this event Mechse professors offer such events as dinners at their homes, dinner and drafts one night. The professor pays for the actual event and the money that you bid/pay goes directly to our relay for life team. All of the events have been a great success in the past. We raised almost $500 dollars with this event last year. Please come out and show your support for Relay and get a chance to have a professor treat you!

Event list so far:
Professor  Vanka: Vegetarian dinner for four at his home.
Professor Keane: Dinner for 6 at his home. Excellent, delicious multi course meal with a very fun professor! This meal also includes unlimited liquid refreshments. Seats will be sold in pairs. All of last year’s attendee's loved this event!
Professor Glumac: Dinner at Papa Dell's and Drafts and/or fountain drinks at Brother's on a Tuesday Night for five people.
