1.  ASME Cookout !!

Date: Wednesday, September 19

 

Time: 10 am – 2 pm

 

Location: Outside MEB

 

ASME will be holding a cookout outside of the Mechanical Engineering Building just off Matthews St on this Wednesday, September 19.  Hot Dogs, Chips, and Pop will be sold for $0.50 a piece.  So if you’re looking to eat a cheap lunch and enjoy what’s left of the nice weather, come join us

 

2.  ASME resume collection

One benefit that ASME as an organization offers is the chance to have your resume included in a select, pre-sorted group. Rather than blend in with all the other resumes at career fairs, ASME provides a distinct resume group to companies.

3.  Planning Your College Career

Location: 2009 MEL

 

This is for all mechanical engineering freshmen interested in getting some good tips for planning their college career. Come out to hear a quick presentation, ask a few questions, and eat some free pizza.

 

4. Solar Decathlon Open House

Date: Saturday, September 22, 2007

Time: 1 – 4 pm

Location: North of UI Veterinary Medicine Building, off the corner of Lincoln and St. Mary’s in Urbana

Everyone is invited to celebrate the completion of the UI’s entry to the Solar Decathlon 2007, Elementhouse, at a public open house. This completely self sufficient solar house was designed and built by over 150 U of I students from Architecture, Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and more.

 

5.  General meeting with Lyondell (joint meeting with UMO – Materials Science group)

Date: Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Location: 119 MSEB

5. Roundtable with Wrigley

Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Location: Papa Del's Pizzeria – 206 E. Green (Champaign, IL)
