1. General Meeting w/ Ford + participation initiative raffle

A representative from Ford Motor Company will be presenting at the first general meeting of the semester! If you haven't been an active ASME member so far, this meeting is a great opportunity to learn how you can get involved this semester. This is also your chance to learn about the Ford Design Contest - show your skills to Ford representatives and win prizes!
PLUS... for those of you that participated in ASME events last semester, you earned points to be put towards tickets in the participation raffle that will be held at the general meeting. Even if you did not participate in any previous events, if you show up at the general meeting, you will earn 5 points towards raffle tickets. Also, in support of the ASME food drive that is also happening next week, if you bring in 2 or more non-perishable canned goods or $2 or more, you will also receive 5 points towards raffle tickets.
There will be approximately $250 dollars in prizes raffled off, so make sure to come by. The prizes are not set yet, but to give you guys an idea of what the prizes may be like, last year an Ipod Mini was raffled off as well as gift certificates to Best Buy.
And if all that isn't enough to make you want to come, as always there will be FREE PIZZA!!

3. EOH Committee Meeting

Come to the EOH Committee meeting and help plan ASME's Engineering Open House projects. EOH is another great opportunity to get more involved with ASME, and should be a lot of fun!

4. ASME Food Drive

Come by next week and drop off some canned goods or donate a buck or two to help support the ASME food drive.
5. ME for Me! Conference
On Saturday, February 18th ASME will be hosting its 9th Annual M.E. For Me!
Conference. This all day event is geared towards showing students in Mechanical Engineering the vast opportunities that await them in industry.
Featuring speakers from such companies as Caterpillar, Ford, GE, Kimberly-Clark, Shell, and Roll-Royce, this event also includes lunch at Za's, a design contest, and a prize raffle.
